We’ve helped unions reach community allies, communicate with the media, offer training to members, grow membership and win campaigns. Your sponsorship helps us continue. So far in 2021 we have supported restaurant workers to win $2.5 million in direct relief and launch a union. We helped AFSCME win $15/hr for SCS employees, and a raise or bonus for all local public workers. We helped United Campus Workers win additional layoff severance and the Teamsters to block a tax break for a union-busting company. We stood with IUE against offshoring, Amazon workers in their bid to join RWDSU and Mineworkers in their strike. We still have our work cut out for us. We aim to establish a local Workers Rights Commission, expand public funds for union construction, and support upcoming strikes and campaigns.
