*As a 501(c)(5) organization, contributions to the VT AFL-CIO are not tax-deductible. We are living in a historic moment for Labor. Just a few weeks ago, Staten Island Amazon workers formed the Amazon Labor Union, the first-ever union at Amazon, an industry that is at the center of our modern supply chain. Over the last year, organizing at Starbucks stores in Buffalo, NY went viral, inspiring baristas across the US to demand work with decent pay and dignity. The spirit of organizing is catching fire here in Vermont, too. Over the last year, workers from over 25 Vermont workplaces, representing hundreds of workers, reached out to us for help in forming a union. We’ve made dozens of follow-up calls, hosted three “How to Form a Union 101” training sessions with the Institute for Organizing Unions, and connected workers to our affiliate organizers. We know that we need to grow in order to meet this moment. Can you please donate $10 to help the VT AFL-CIO organize more workers?
