No Cuts to Child Care

Finding and affording child care so you can go to work is one of the biggest challenges facing working families today. Waiting lists, limited options, and the cost of child care are all common problems across our state. Last year, the Maine Legislature made great progress on child care by funding wage supplements to keep child care workers in the field, and by increasing the income threshold so more working families qualify for help paying for childcare. Unfortunately, proposed cuts currently being discussed in Augusta would jeopardize the progress that has been made. Please take a moment now to let members of the Legislature know - Working families say No Cuts to Child Care!
