Protect workers from coercive anti-union meetings!

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

It takes a lot of courage to fight for a better, more fair workplace by forming a union. Unfortunately, too many workers in Washington experience coercive / captive audience meetings during their union campaign. Employers may sow doubt, suggest that wages and benefits may decrease, or that a business would have to close entirely if workers form a union. SB 5417, The Employee Free Choice Act, would protect workers who decline to attend these coercive meetings from retaliation or termination. No employee should have to attend mandatory meetings where the boss shares their political or religious views about personal issues. Send your Washington State Senators a message urging them to support SB 5417! PERSONALIZED LETTERS ARE MORE EFFECTIVE! On the next page, you’ll have space to edit a pre-filled letter. If you’ve experience a coercive/captive audience meetings, please share your experience so legislators can better understand the impacts.
