I’m writing to ask that you help pass a budget that puts working Michiganders first. What does that look like? It looks like funding MIOSHA to keep workers safe, funding apprenticeships so Michiganders have paths to good-paying jobs, funding prevailing wage provisions so workers get a fair paycheck, and   ensuring wage and hour protections are enforced. If Michigan doesn’t have a budget by July 1, working people will pay the price. We cannot allow teachers, firefighters, and police officers to suffer because state lawmakers refuse to do their jobs.   If you say you stand with workers, it’s time to show it.
