They’re trying to follow in the footsteps of states like Georgia, Florida, and others who have responded to last year’s record voter turnout with hundreds of dangerous attacks on our right to vote -- restrictions particularly targeted at shutting Black and Brown voters out of our democracy. And here in Wisconsin, the legislature is attempting to make it more difficult for all of us to vote -- with laws that will disenfranchise elderly voters and voters with disabilities in particular. Fortunately, we anticipate that Gov. Evers will veto these anti-voter bills -- but he’s sure to come under harsh criticism from the far-right, Trump-aligned forces behind this nationwide campaign of voter suppression.
