Tell Rep. Wesco: these bills deserve a hearing!

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

It’s the first week of the 2023 legislative session, and there are two exciting pieces of pro-voter legislation we want to move forward. One bill would create a nonpartisan, citizen-led redistricting commission to draw our electoral maps, making our elections fairer and more representative. The other would eliminate straight ticket voting, which benefits political parties at the expense of voters. The first step to these bills becoming law is a committee hearing. We need your help making that happen. Rep. Tim Wesco (R-South Bend), the Chairman of the House Elections and Apportionment Committee, will decide whether or not these bills advance in the process. Please join me and send a message to Rep. Wesco today to let him know that both of these policy changes are long overdue.
