Vote NO on Proposals 1 and 2!

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Albuquerque City Council must reject the undemocratic and rushed changes to the City Charter. Proposal 1 would lower the threshold to be elected mayor or city councilor without a runoff election from 50% to 40%, meaning candidates would no longer need a majority support to win. Proposal 2 would reduce the independence of the Albuquerque City Clerk who oversees city elections. These dangerous proposals will be voted on by City Council on Monday, May 20 at 5 p.m. to be added to the November ballot. We must tell Councilors to vote NO!
