Please join Colorado Common Cause for our 2026 annual fundraiser on Wednesday, September 23. As always, we're going to throw a GREAT party, so be there or be square. We’ll have delicious food, stiff drinks, music, and the best part is... we won't make you sit through a long program! This year's fundraiser is all about us: the voters, the volunteers, Common Cause Colorado members, and the supporters whose generous support makes our work possible. Priority number one? Our Democracy Defense program. Colorado Common Cause is leading a grassroots democracy defense program across the State of Colorado to defend our elections, protect voters, and mobilize a moral movement against authoritarianism and voter suppression. This effort involves hundreds of poll monitors, legal defense, ICE watchers, faith leaders as peacekeepers, and networks of organizers and volunteers who are ready to demonstrate against violations on our democratic values and the dignity of our communities. Our philosophy: lay infrastructure, create movement partnerships, and prepare rapid response to protect voters, defend elections, and reject interference and political violence. We need to talk about ballot measures: dark money group Advance Colorado is running an all-out assault on the Colorado ballot, and we have to mount an aggressive fight to defeat them. Advance Colorado is proposing a deluge of ballot measures, bought and paid for by billionaire Phil Anschutz and his private industry buddies -- and Coloradans will have the final say. One of Advance's ballot measures will require Colorado law enforcement to collaborate with ICE to terrorize our communities; another, #132, will create devastating criminal penalties for fentanyl crimes that will only serve to increase overdose deaths. Yet another will require voters to print their Social Security Numbers on the outside of their ballot envelope. Did we mention their "right to oil and gas" ballot measure? Or how about the other set of regressive ballot measures, brought forward by another group of proponents, to attack and exclude trans kids in Colorado? We need to raise funds so that Colorado Common Cause can do its part to defeat these measures, full stop. Colorado Common Cause exists to defend the public interest. With everything Colorado stands to lose in 2026, our team feels the weight of this responsibility more than ever. Please contribute to our fight by donating, purchasing a sponsorship, or buying a ticket -- and then, let's enjoy each other's company and scream into the void together on Wednesday, September 23rd. I leave you with a quote. "Let us break the wall of ruminating silence and celebrate! Throwing a party is taking revenge on life's desolation and captivating the sound of a new morning." -Erik Pevernagie Sponsorships and tickets can be purchased using this form. If you are unable to attend, but would still like to make a contribution, you can do so on this page. Logistics Parking Information: There is an on-site parking lot, ample street parking along both cross streets, and a paid lot across the street.
