Stand with Louisiana Fishermen and Stop Mega-Gas Project CP2!

Less than a week after Venture Global began clearing land to build the CP2 liquified natural gas export terminal (LNG) in Louisiana, Venture Global leached tons of mud and silt from their dredging, contaminating nearby lakes and bayous. Now, Louisiana fishermen are unable to catch the shrimp, oysters, and crabs they need to support themselves and their families. Their livelihoods are in danger of vanishing forever. 1, 2 If completed, CP2 would be among the largest gas export terminals in the world, releasing more carbon pollution than 47 million gas-powered cars or 54 coal-fired power plants.3 Fortunately, there's still an opportunity to halt this project. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Department of Energy, and the foreign purchasers of Venture Global's gas must hold the company accountable for the damage to fishermen’s livelihoods and Louisiana ecosystems. Join local fishermen in calling on our government agencies, as well as overseas governments and buyers, to say no to Venture Global.
