There’s a lot at stake – emissions reductions, billions of dollars in revenue, the health of our neighbors, and community-directed climate solutions to name a few. How do we plan to secure these critical protections for our communities? By ensuring the full implementation of New York‘s landmark Climate Law, and the release of regulations on the Cap-Trade-and-Invest (CTI) program that will help us Fund Climate this year! This Week of Action is a chance to pressure legislators on their own turf, and make it clear: New Yorkers demand climate justice. With the legislative recess approaching, lawmakers will be home in their districts—so our member organizations are mobilizing flagship actions the week of February 17th. These will include town halls with supportive legislators or office visits (and strategic occupations) with less supportive counterparts. Led by a member organization in your district, these events are a great opportunity to engage your local representatives and reiterate your support for Fund Climate. Some organizations will also be hosting field events in their districts that are not represented on this map.
