Our second Town Hall traces back to Bernie Sanders' presidential campaigns in 2016 and 2020, which helped to revitalize the American socialist movement, and also touches on DSA's decision not to engage in the 2024 presidential race. What effect did Bernie's run have on DSA and vice versa? What led to DSA's uninvolvement in 2024, and how did that decision affect the organization? How can we learn from these past examples going into 2028? Join your comrades for a short presentation, gallery walk of ideas, and breakout group discussion! This Town Hall is intended to contain both introductory and advanced elements to engage with members across the spectrum of involvement—if you just moved here this year for school from another country, or if you've lived here and been politically active your entire life, we have something for everyone.
