	<description>The Illinois Single Payer Coalition and the Illinois Chapter of Physicians for a National Health Plan are hosting a very timely Health Care Candidate Forum in the 2nd Congressional District on Saturday January 17th at 10 A.M. at St. Paul &amp;amp; the Redeemer at 4945 S. Dorchester in Hyde Park. This forum will be focused exclusively on health care policy. Right now, health care is of growing concern for all Americans as the fate of the Affordable Care Act is being determined right now in Congress, and it has been the cause of the longest government shutdown on record. As Democrats and Republicans struggle over health care insurance subsidies, premiums are continuing to soar far past what the average American can afford. The endless and ever-increasing “cost-sharing” measures like deductibles, co-pays, and coverage limits mean Americans are paying more and more out of pocket for health insurance that covers less and less. It’s more important than ever to get the candidates on the record and inform voters about where they stand on health care.
