We'll meet at Danielle and Chas's house, 2 Russell Gardens, Ham, Richmond TW10 7QE, at 10.30 for coffee and a croissant and to meet other members, plus Chas Warlow and Lauren Stansfield, two of our candidates in the forthcoming elections, and Andree Frieze, current Green councillor in the ward. You'll be going out in pairs or small groups. We'll be doing a mixture of delivering our campaign newsletter to households in Ham and doorknocking. If you want to deliver newsletters, that's fine. Deliverers will be in pairs and will be buddied up with someone who knows the area. You'll have full instructions, a list of addresses to deliver to, a map and some do's and dont's. If you're willing to doorknock then full training is provided: you can shadow an experienced activist or your local councillors. You will be in small groups with an experienced leader. There will be a script and plenty of support. You'll be speaking to residents to better understand the issues that are important to them ahead of next year's local elections and, most importantly, to gauge the level of support for voting Green. You'll need your phone to access the door-knocking platform we use, so make sure you bring it along, and that it has enough charge. Come back at 1pm and enjoy a delicious vegan lunch (vegetarian options also provided) from 1pm. We'll go out again at 2pm for another hour, for those who can.
