Join the Public Power committee at 5:30pm on Wednesday April 9th in Cohoes to talk to residents there about how they can support their city council is demanding NYS build more publicly owned renewable power! Last year thousands of New Yorkers called on the New York Power Authority to build 15GW of new renewable energy. This year their plan included a measly 3GW. Thankfully, our pressure so far has worked! They've announced they plan to develop up to 3GW more later this year, but that's still not enough. We're getting local municipalities to join the overwhelming call to build more, and we need to the support of residents to do that! So come with us as we talk to them about why building public power is the answer to rising utility bills and the climate crisis.
