Better late than never, but here is the announcement for the next HnH committee meeting meeting, which will be held on Sunday 8/27 @ Harold A. Henry Park, 11am-12:30pm. Just like last time, we'll meet at the picnic tables on the western side of the park, at the corner of Lucerne Ave and Francis Ave. Parking is available in the neighborhood. This event is accessible to all. This will also be a hybrid meeting, after the success of the hobbled-together version we put on last time, so I'll send the RSVPs a link to the zoom room closer to the day. For this meeting: we have a lot to discuss, not the least of which is the current call from LATU to demand the LA City Council re-institute the rent freeze in the face of a potentially 7-9% rent increase next year. This could not only be a great opportunity for DSA-LA to better collaborate with LATU, but could potentially involve the Power to the Tenants Resolution Working Group and other aspects of the chapter structure. We'll also hear report backs from our various projects, as per usual.
