As more clean energy is connected to our electric grid, we also need ways to store that energy so it’s available when the wind isn’t blowing or the sun isn’t shining. That’s where battery storage comes in. Batteries are quickly becoming an important part of a cleaner, more reliable energy system, but many still have questions about how they work, what role they play in our energy grid, and what safety measures are in place as the industry continues to grow. In this presentation, Kelsey Perry and Hannah Larkin from Flatiron Energy will provide a Batteries 101 overview, covering the basics of how utility-scale energy storage projects work, address common concerns and questions, and walk through a case study of a battery storage project Flatiron Energy is currently developing over the state line in Somerset, MA. This event will be hybrid! RSVP for Zoom link
