Using citizen science to build data, community knowledge and organizing power Over the past two years, Beyond Gas has tested nearly 700 DC and Maryland kitchens with gas stoves for nitrogen dioxide, a health-harming pollutant that is created when methane gas is burned. Our investigation findings will be released on Thursday, November 21.
