"Real World Labor examines the most pressing issues facing workers and unions today." Join Dollars & Sense Magazine, the Dr. Charles A. Scontras Center for Labor and Community Education at the University of Southern Maine, and others to celebrate the release of the new edition of Real World Labor. Are you a labor educator, labor leader, or organizer looking to provide robust labor education and economic literacy to your members and workers across the United States? We invite you to join us to celebrate the release of this new resource, learn about the exciting materials on contemporary labor issues it contains, and find out how you can bring it to your members. Dollars & Sense Magazine editors Chris Sturr and Ben Beckett will be joined by Real World Labor editors Kari Lydersen, Kevin Van Meter, and Robert Ovetz to provide an overview of Dollars & Sense Magazine and the new collection, readings and excerpts from the book, summary of ways to use the book in labor education, and plenty of time for questions and answers from participants. Copies available in March 2024 and at the Labor Notes Conference in April 2024. Event will run from 8:00-9:00PM EST / 5:00-6:00PM PST.
