California Rally Against Ruby River’s ISDS Attack on Climate Action

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

In 2023, the firm River River Capital launched a massive $20 billion trade challenge against Quebec’s decision to reject the company’s proposed liquified natural gas (LNG) plant and terminal near the mouth of the St. Lawrence River. The case is the latest in a string of so-called “investor-state dispute settlement” or “ISDS” trade attacks against landmark environmental victories. Please join the Trade Justice Education Fund, California Trade Justice Coalition, Bay Climate Action, and other climate justice advocates outside the Ruby River affiliates' offices as we call on the company to drop its outrageous ISDS suit. The rally is part of a coordinated international day of action drawing attention to the case at multiple locations across the U.S. and Canada.
