Join us at our Cambridge Big Day Out on Saturday 21st March for a city-wide leafleting event to help us win seats across Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire in May!! Cambridge is also in the running to gain a Green MP seat at the next General Election, so it is vital that we prove that we can WIN BIG in Cambridge. There are two sessions running on Saturday 21st March- a morning session and an afternoon session. You can come to one or both sessions. We are limited to 120 places, so please let us know if you can no longer attend so that we can offer your spot to someone else. This session is the afternoon session. It will run from 13.30pm until 4.30pm with a schedule as follows: 13.30pm arrive - get teas and coffees from the bar (no food or drink allowed in the main room) 13.45pm - speech from a high profile Green... 14.00am - allocation of leaflet rounds 14.15am - head out to leaflet 16.00pm - option of cup of tea in the hotel bar 16.30pm - head into town for a celebratory drink! Leaflet allocation: There are multiple options for where you can leaflet and how you could travel, please have a think about what would suit you best: Walk - Abbey, King's Hedges and East Chesterton wards are walk-able from Novotel Cycle - Arbury, Castle, Market, Histon and Newnham wards are within 30 min cycle Train - Shelford ward is 2 stops on the train, Romsey, Coleridge and Petersfield can be accessed from Cambridge station (1 stop on the train) Guided bus - Histon and Arbury are accessible via the guided bus Accessibility: We will be in the Darwin and Hawking rooms which are on the first floor accessible via lift. All spaces within the hotel are wheelchair accessible. There are blue badge parking spaces in the next-door car park. Getting there: Novotel is located right next to Cambridge North Station so is ideal to get to by train. There are many cycle stands, but make sure you bring a heavy duty lock! Cambridge North station is a hot spot of bike thefts. There are bus stops at the station serving the guided busway and the number 2 bus. There is public parking next-door (reservation is not needed) and costs around £5 for half a day https://www.greateranglia.co.uk/travel-information/station-information/cmb
