The initial training is just a two-hour meeting/training/field trip. If you decide to continue afterward, volunteers typically spend 2–5 hours per week at the Capitol during parts of May, June, and August (July is legislative recess). Over time, volunteers can pair up with others and participate independently in advocacy work. We’ll do our best to match you with the climate issues you care most about — though the legislative calendar always brings surprises. One thing is guaranteed: you will learn a tremendous amount.
