Cinema with Comrades: Soy Cuba

	<thumbnail_url>https://can2-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/events/photos/003/109/073/normal/Image-1.jpeg</thumbnail_url>

Join us for a screening of Soy Cuba (1964), a landmark work of politically committed cinema still widely regarded as one of the most visually innovative films ever made. Born of a Soviet-Cuban collaboration in the middle of the Cuban Missile Crisis, Soy Cuba traces the origins of the Cuban Revolution through four stories of Havana's wealthy elite and the rising working class revolt. All proceeds will go to medical supplies for Cuba. This screening is part of a series of anti-imperialist films and fundraisers in April and May with the NYC-DSA Anti-War Working Group. Stay tuned for more!
