This workshop will cover how convention democratically deliberates the chapter’s internal laws and political priorities for the coming year, as well as what it means to be a delegate and how to run for a seat. If you’ve never participated in a DSA convention before, this workshop will introduce you to its basics and explain its role in our organization’s member democracy. If you’ve served as a delegate previously, come refresh your memory on timelines and procedures and connect with your future delegate-mates! This event also includes a proposal workshop where you can draft a proposal for convention and get answers to any questions you may have. This event is hybrid.
