This event will discuss the safety needs and considerations of African immigrant survivors, and will provide advocates with tools and best practices for working with African survivors in their programs and community. The 3-hour workshop will be led by Neway Wayessa, Client Advocate & Outreach Specialist at The Person Center, and is designed for advocates and service providers working to empower survivors and their families in DC.
