De-Escalation Training

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

When conflict arises in stressful moments, de-escalation skills can prove the difference between a crisis averted and lasting harm. Come learn from experienced de-escalators the various tips, tricks, and techniques to help stop tense moments from escalating into violence. This training will include roleplay exercises to help you get used to common escalated situations. Masks are required for this training while inside (we will have extras). The building is ADA accessible with an accessible bathroom. The 4 Bus Line stops nearby; the MAX Yellow Line is a 15 min walk away. Street parking is very limited - please arrive early to give yourself time to find a spot. Please direct any questions to DSA.PDX.SAFETY@protonmail.com, or the Safety Team channel on Discord.
