Ealing Citizens Accountability Assembly

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Join us as we seek to build a public, accountable relationship with the next Council around good work and opportunities, temporary accommodation and poor housing conditions! Ealing Citizens warmly invites you to attend our Pre‑Election Accountability Assembly on Tuesday 28th April, 6–8pm at St Anselm’s Church, Southall, UB2 4BE. Ealing Citizens is an alliance of 9 faith, education and charitable organisations, representing more than 15,000 local people, and part of the West London Citizens alliance of 30 institutions. As part of Citizens UK — the UK’s largest and most diverse people‑powered alliance — we work through community organising to build the power of ordinary people to shape the decisions that affect their lives. Our wins include Heathrow Airport becoming a living wage employer as well as all 9 NHS trusts in West London (pay rise for 1670 workers), alongside many local and national wins such as 2000 care workers in Ealing receiving a pay rise, a lift of the 20% geographical cap on selective licensing schemes for local authorities, a commitment to eliminate the unlawful use of Bed & Breakfast accommodation beyond the six-week legal limit for families by 2029. Ahead of the May 2026 local elections, our member institutions have so far listened to over 600 people in our communities. The issues emerging — good work and opportunities, temporary accommodation and poor housing conditions — form the basis of our Ealing Citizens Manifesto for Change. At the Assembly, we will present these priorities and invite local election candidates to make public commitments to work with us if elected. Your presence will strengthen our collective civic power. We hope you will join us as we stand together for justice, dignity, and the common good in Ealing.
