EAT: Economics. Arts. Transformation. is an interactive training designed for artists and cultural workers who are ready to participate in systems change. This Fall, we're experimenting with a 3 day virtual workshop and collaborating with Art.coop and The New Economy Coalition. For this pilot, we're bringing together 25-30 artists to explore the intersections of capitalism, solidarity economy, and art-making as a tool for building liberatory movements. Co-facilitated by progressive economics professor Dr. Francisco Perez and cultural organizer Donnay Edmund of the New Economy Coalition, this program is grounded in popular education principles—making political and economic concepts accessible, interactive, and directly relevant to participants' lives. While we had overwhelming response to the closed cohort, we wanted to add a public portion to the program and invite you on each day - DEC 14, 15, 16 from 4 - 5 pm ET - to hear from incredible organizers, artists and advocates whose work experience in arts & culture will be speaking to the "Three Cs of Art." Join our Public Talk Back Series!
