Experience the beauty of this forest and learn about how public land is managed by the DNR. This timber sale is sold and logging is scheduled to begin soon, though the date is unknown. Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz has the authority to postpone the harvest to support the City of Port Angeles's "Elwha Watershed Protection Project" Trust Land Transfer application. *This hike is both on and off trail.
