	<description>We have organized a unifying event across Colorado in an effort to increase awareness and discuss tangible ways of helping our immigrant communities. This effort is unique in its partnership with various activist groups, non-profit organizations working within the community, the places of faith taking in those in need of sanctuary, people supporting those impacted, and most importantly, those who have been directly impacted. Together we are vowing to work together and to take a stand against what is happening to immigrants, refugees and asylees in our country. AURORA EVENT: FAMILIES BELONG TOGETHER: DENVER STANDS AGAINST ICE MEETING LOCATION: GEO Group ICE Denver Contract Detention Facility                                          3130 Oakland St, Aurora, CO 80010 THIS EVENT IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ALLIES TO USE OUR PRESENCE AND OUR VOICE AT THE DETENTION FACILITY. MANY PEOPLE FROM THE IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY HAVE BEEN TRAUMATIZED AT THIS FACILITY OR ARE STILL AT RISK BECAUSE OF AGENTS WITHIN THIS FACILITY, IT&#x27;S IMPERATIVE THAT WE STAND FOR THEM (HOWEVER, THIS IS OPEN TO EVERYONE AND OUR IMPACTED BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN ATTENDANCE WILL BE SUPPORTED) THIS WILL BE A PEACEFUL EVENT WITH A STRONG MESSAGE FOR THE LEADERS IN OUR STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. WE WILL NOT BE SILENT WITNESSES TO THESE ATROCITIES. WE WILL STAND AND FIGHT AGAINST THESE ACTIONS. ARRIVAL TIME: 5-5:30pm (to allow people getting off work time to get there) (Sign ideas to keep messaging clear: “DeFund ICE” “Families Belong Together” “Where are the Children” “Reunite Families Now”) 5:30PM OPENING REMARKS /ACTION ITEMS FOR RALLY 5:40pm DeFund ICE We will be hearing from leaders within local immigrant rights groups regarding the national initiative to “DeFund ICE” and its for profit system aimed at tracking and criminalizing immigrants, how we can support this effort, and what the next steps are. 5:50pm People&#x27;s Resolution Learn about the People’s Resolution, how it will positively impact our immigrant community and how we can endorse/support it. 6:00pm Demand That Families Be Kept Together Listen to stories from impacted people and learn about the devastation created by the separation of families. Hear these stories in order to be an advocate for these communities in calling for an end to these inhumane practices 6:20pm Provide information on those in sanctuary across Colorado and how we can help them 6:30pm END RALLY WITH A CANDLELIGHT VIGIL IN HONOR OF THE LIVES BEING LOST DURING THE JOURNEY TO REACH OUR COUNTRY, THE LIVES LOST AT OUR BORDERS, THE PEOPLE BEING CRIMINALIZED AND FOR THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES SUFFERING AT THE HANDS OF OUR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES DURING THESE INHUMANE SEPARATIONS ***************************************************************************************** DENVER EVENT: Zero Tolerance for Family Separation March Park Hill, June 14th.
