The current administration chose Asheville to highlight how well WNC has recovered from Helene and to take credit for our "tremendous recovery," when in reality, recovery is far from over. We are asking local WNC community members and organizations to join us in raising awareness about our local recovery post-Helene, its ongoing challenges and needs, and how our struggles are linked to struggles across the globe. We see this as part of an ongoing need to build power to ensure our and our children's futures.
