	<description>Poor People&#x27;s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival in Oregon Gorge Teach-In and Nonviolent Direct Action Training On Monday, May 14th, we will gather in Salem and begin 40 Days of Moral Action to shift the narrative around poverty and launch a long-term sustained campaign to address the systemic causes of racism, poverty, militarism, and ecological devastation. Location: Hood River (Address will be revealed to attendees via email after your rsvp is submitted) Date: Sunday, May 6 Time: Noon-7:00pm Lunch Potluck from Noon-1pm: If you are able, please bring a dish to share In the weeks leading up to the 40 Days of Moral Action, people across the state are gathering for day-long Teach-in and Nonviolent Direct Action Trainings where we will: • build relational power • ground the movement in song and art • learn the details of the 40 Days of Moral Action, including weekly direct action • train in nonviolent philosophy and tactics • engage in political education Please email oregon@poorpeoplescampaign.org to request childcare.
