GPTU discussion: Green Party Workers’ Charter – “Higher pay”

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

On 1 May the Green Party and Green Party Trade Union Group (GPTU) launched the Workers’ Charter https://greenparty.org.uk/workerscharter, a platform of the kind of strong workers’ rights Labour has abandoned, at our May Day rally in Manchester. Already the Charter has made waves, and we’ll be developing more campaigning around it over the coming months. As part of that GPTU is organising a series of meetings to discuss the Charter, to help come up with ideas both to develop the policies it contains in more detail, and generate organising and campaigning around them. The Charter is divided into three sections – “Higher pay”, “Strong rights” and “Collective power” – and we’ll start on 22 July with “Higher pay”.
