Hands On Democracy

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

The Tools of Resistance are Handmade. The news cycle persistently heavy right now, but we don’t have to carry it alone. Hands On Democracy is a weekly gathering for those who want to turn their "doomscrolling" into tangible action. We aren’t just talking about the current administration; we’re building the kit to fight back against it. Each week, we sit down as a community to focus on three high-impact tasks: The Postcard Station: Sending handwritten, personal messages to representatives and local organizers regarding the present injustices. Ink on paper is harder to ignore than an email in an inbox. Whistle Kit Assembly: Building and distributing the tools to protect our immigrant communities from ICE. We provide the components; you provide the labor. The Crafting Corner: Creating art, signs, crochet, etc. We believe that a movement should be as beautiful as it is bold. Why "Hands On"? Because fascism thrives on making us feel helpless. By gathering to work with our hands—assembling, writing, and creating—we reclaim our agency. This isn't just a meeting; it’s a production line for democracy. Whether you’re a seasoned organizer or looking for your first way to get involved, there is a seat at the table for you. Let’s make some noise, send some mail, and build a community that won’t back down. Admission: Free but if not contributing supplies, we request a small monetary donation of $10.
