Without further action, millions of New Yorkers could face eviction on May 1st when the eviction moratorium expires. Additionally, millions of New York renters live in unregulated apartments where they have no basic protections against rent hikes and landlord harassment. Senator Julia Salazar and Assemblymember Pamela Hunter have a bill that would expand tenant protections against unnecessary evictions and displacement.
