We know making calls or sending emails can be hard, so don't do it alone. Join the Maine DSA Bodily Autonomy Working Group for a HR22 BLOCK Party (SAVE act). We'll hop on zoom to body double and hold ourselves and our legislators accountable to vote down HR22, and other bills targeting reproductive and trans rights. HR22 is also known as the SAVE act. This bill would require identification that matches the name on an individual's birth certificate in order to register as a voter. This obviously targets trans people, as well as anyone with a maiden name. People who aren't able to access documentation like a passport or birth certificate will be affected too. This has already passed in the House and has now moved on to the Senate. We have to do everything in our power to stop this - please join us.
