In 2020 we have a new Parliament and new Labour leader, but we're as committed as ever to winning a socialist Green New Deal to achieve economic and climate justice. As a campaign we now face key questions including: - How do we relate to the Labour Party and leadership? - How do we work and build solidarity with trade unions? - How do we work with local government to organise for a Green New Deal? - How can we build a global Green New Deal through international solidarity? - What does community organising for a Green New Deal look like? This event is a two-day gathering for Labour for a Green New Deal activists: members of local groups, volunteers & national organising team members. Together we will: - Develop our shared strategy to win a socialist Green New Deal this year and beyond - Share ideas and experience on organising for a Green New Deal locally with activists from across the UK - Take our campaign skills to the next level with a series of trainings and skill-shares Venue: The event will take place in Manchester. Exact location tbc but its likely to be a 20 minute tram ride outside of Manchester Piccadilly station. Accommodation:  When registering please indicate if you need help sorting accommodation. This will likely be crash space with local activists. Travel: We will have a fund to subsidise or cover travel costs on the basis of need.
