As there may be a large number of attendees and this event is arranged at short notice, the hustings will be held online only. This hustings is open to paid up members of Wigan and Leigh Green Party. The Zoom link to attend will be provided to eligible members. RSVP now to save the date and receive reminders/updates, including the Zoom link to join the event. Event format Hustings Each candidate will be invited to make an opening statement, followed by a series of questions that will be put to all candidates, with candidates answering in a different order each time. The speaking time allocated to each candidate will depend on the number of validly nominated candidates. We will spend up to 60 minutes on the debate section of the event. Ask a question If you would like to submit a question, please do so using the text box on this form. It won't be possible to take all questions unfortunately, so questions will be selected to cover a range of issues. Selection Ballot & Declaration of Result Eligible members will be emailed an electronic ballot several hours before the hustings meeting along with statements from candidates and any other supporting information. After the hustings concludes, there will be a period of at least 15 minutes allowed for members to finish casting their ballots. If members indicate more time is needed, this period will be extended. At the close of voting, the ERO will call the candidates into an online breakout room to declare the provisional results to them. The ERO will then rejoin the main call and make the formal declaration of result.
