All members in good standing of Metro DC DSA who are current on their dues as of November 13th are eligible to be voting delegates. Please RSVP to this event so we can begin to gauge attendance rates. We will ensure you receive directions for joining the virtual event. The length of each day is still TBD. More Info: The local convention is one of the most important events held by the chapter. The convention is a biannual gathering mandated in our chapter bylaws to consider amendments to the bylaws and other resolutions. It is an opportunity for the chapter as a whole to stop and take stock of our work and organizational structure, from big questions such as how well our overall structures are functioning to smaller issues like what various positions are called. It is a completely democratic decision-making process: Every chapter member who is current on their dues is eligible to attend as a voting delegate and submit proposals to be considered at the convention. Is there something about how the chapter is functioning that you would like to change? The convention is a great opportunity to talk about these issues with other members and ensure they are resolved. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be held online. To avoid burnout from extended online discussion, half of the agenda will be completed on Saturday and the other half on Sunday.
