That means training a generation of activists to fight for our future. There are four summits around the United States, and if you live in the North East, this is the one for you. So if you're looking to step up and join the movement, now is the perfect chance. -----------------------SUMMIT OVERVIEW-------------------------- On September 7th/8th, hundreds of Sunrisers from across the North East and other parts of the country are going to gather in Providence, Rhode Island, for one of Sunrise’s four regional Summits. The summit will be an opportunity to meet other hub members from around the region and build community across the movement. Attendees will be trained in Sunrise’s DNA as well as attend specialized breakout trainings on communications strategy, action planning, fundraising, building partnerships, and other core skills to build out powerful hubs. Join us for one of Sunrise’s biggest training yet! -----------------------WHO IS THIS FOR?----------------------------- - YOUNG PEOPLE (AGES 13-35) looking for a meaningful way to protect our homes and the people we love from the climate crisis. We value the support and participation of our adults and elders, but this Summit is for developing the leadership skills of our young people in the movement. For individuals over the age of 35, there are other ways to get involved like joining your local hub or donating what you can. - We believe it’s important that the people we invest leadership training in reflect the movement we want to build-- a young, multi-racial movement that represents many different backgrounds.
