	<description>To mark Refugee Week 2024, Nottingham Citizens, in partnership with the African Women&#x27;s Empowerment Forum (AWEF) and the University of Nottingham, are hosting an event to promote the welcome of refugees in our city. Led by people with lived experience of the immigration system, you can expect; fabulous food cooked by &#x27;Grandma&#x27;s Kitchen&#x27;, an inspiring initiative from colleagues at AWEF stories from Nottingham&#x27;s refugee community as they share their experiences of finding home in the city contributions from Citizens UK campaigners, highlighting the work we are doing to tackle injustices experienced by the refugee community closing reflections from Roda Madziva at the University of Nottingham.
