Both Janeese and Aparna are relying on grassroots donations to power their campaigns, and DC will match donations from residents 5:1, meaning a donation of $50 turns into $300 for the campaign—enough to pay for a day's worth of literature for canvassing. Janeese is neck-and-neck with her opponent on donations, who is receiving max donation checks from corporations and wealthy donors. Aparna is about 110 maximum donors (who chip in $50!) away from reaching the public matching cap! Every chapter member you're able to encourage to donate will be critical in getting Janeese and Aparna elected in June. We will meet in-person, and pizza will be provided. Please bring a charged phone and your laptop. No experience is necessary! We'll have a script and folks there to support you as you make calls!
