	<description>CENTER FOR COMMON GROUND PRESENTS: THE COMMUNITY BLOCK PARTY IN GAINSBORO Discussions about &quot;Pledge to Vote&quot;, Community Safety, and other interest ROANOKE, Va. - (September 3rd, 2021) - The Roanoke Center for Common Ground, a non-partisan voting rights organization led by people of color will be hosting a community block party in front of the Gainsboro Library at the Lawson Building located at: 408 Gainsboro Road NW Roanoke VA 24016. September 3rd, 2021 will be a day of unity, discussion, and educational resources provided to the community. We will be the activities at 7:30pm. We have the following scheduled activities: 7:30 p.m - Events begin (Community Discussion - Are you registered to vote?) 8:15 p.m - Movie Night (Summer of Soul) 10:15 p.m - Block party / Community Clean-up Attendees keep in mind the following: bring lawn chairs, blankets Roanoke Democracy Center will provide popcorn, bottled water, granola bars, and other light snacks for donations We will have a restroom on location (Keep Covid-19 protocols in mind, the restroom is indoors and mask will be required for entry) We will have mask on site if needed We will follow all Covid-19 safety precautions.
