The construction of the wind turbines has already been approved, but the Society claims they weren't adequately consulted and hopes to reverse the approval and permanently end construction. The Society predicts devastation for Newport’s tourist industry, but the turbines would be barely visible and few people hate turbines anyway! It if their suit succeeds, it would set a precedent that wind farms can be stopped on the flimsiest of grounds.
