In March, the city had over 10,000 delinquent accounts out of the 36,000 total utility customers. Please join H.O.M.E.S. Campaign in giving public comment to help stop the City of Wilmington from shutting off residents&#x27; water during a pandemic. Join the City Council Finance and Economic Development Committee to give public comment on an ordinance that would stop water service shutoffs for six months. Tuesday December 7, 2021 at 5:00pm at Louis L. Redding City County Building 800 N. Then the pandemic hit, and many people, especially lower-income families, have lost jobs and income, making it harder for people to make ends meet. No one should go without water during a pandemic. Please sign up here to give public comment to support a 6-month moratorium on water shutoffs.</description>
