Let’s make it clear that we will never pay for National Grid’s dirty, racist pipeline. Last year we gathered together on the steps of Brooklyn Borough Hall and declared that we refuse to pay for the North Brooklyn pipeline. We launched a Gas Bill Strike and the movement to say NO has been steadily growing and now more than 500 people are striking! The demands of the strike are simple: we won't pay our full bill until the rate hike is reversed and the gas is shut off in Phases 1-4 of the pipeline. We know there is massive opposition to expanding this dirty, damaging, racist infrastructure.
