We'll make the case for two things. First, a state public bank that lends to co-ops and nonprofits building social housing at lower rates, and gives Maine a way to finance projects without going through Wall Street. Second, a public housing program like Vienna's, where the city/state builds and owns the housing itself instead of paying private developers to do it. We see both as first steps in a longer fight for democratically controlled finance and housing that isn't run for profit. New folks are welcome. You don't need to have made the earlier sessions.
