That's why our top priorities during this years contract negotiation are all focused on giving our students greater access to support in their school. That means a fully staffed mental health team in every building, more staff support for our English learners, and appropriately weighted caseloads for our special education professionals. We need to make sure that the school board knows that we're serious, and that's why we'll be attending the November 19 school board meeting, wearing red and ready to speak about what these proposals mean for our students and our members.
