Join us to show local and broader community opposition to the AUKUS deal which will shortly see up to 4 US  nuclear powered submarines on rotation at HMAS Stirling, Meeandip (Garden Island) and US low level radioactive waste stored there on the island - part requiring storage for nearly 300 years. The event has been planned to coincide with the expected visit of a US Virginia Class nuclear powered submarine to Cockburn Sound for the operational and maintenance training of Australian crew. Please bring hats, sunscreen and water. Kayakers and paddleboarders will launch from in front of Bell Park Reserve car park at 10AM and meet up with the swimmers alongside the Rockingham jetty.
