On Wednesday 13th July, Manchester councillors will decide whether or not to approve the £12m budget for the "Hough End Masterplan". The council's proposals involve ripping up five acres of grass and trees and replacing it with plastic turf and concrete. That would be bad news for wildlife, for the climate and for local residents, who'd have to suffer more traffic and more toxic air pollution. Help us send a clear message to councillors that we expect them to reject the plans. RSVP if you can join us outside the Mount Street entrance to the Town Hall extension from 9am on Wednesday 13th July.
